“Originally from Yemen, I have been living in the U.S. since I was 14 to pursue an education. When civil war broke out in Yemen in 2015, I was told I could not return home to my family. I decided not to let bad events define me, but motivate me, allow me to spread positivity and inspire courage. NOVA has supported me in my journey and positioned me to pursue my dream to become a human rights lawyer.”
